Ball Screw Customization Process

STEP 1. Select Screw Lead

*Screw Outer Diameter + Lead = Screw Model

  Example: 16 (Diameter) + 05 (Lead) = SFU1605
* Lead Definition: Linear travel distance per nut rotation.

* Lead Options:
   Conventional Leads: 04, 05, 10.
   Large Leads: 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50.

STEP 2. Select the Precision of the Screw Rod

* C7 Precision (Rolled):
   300mm±50μm

* C5 Precision (Ground):
   0-100mm: ±18μm; 100-200mm: ±20μm;  200-315mm: ±23μm

 Note: C7 precision is calculated based on repeat positioning accuracy.

STEP 3. Select the Nut

Types:  

*Single Nut;   *Extended Double Nuts;   *High - Load - Type Double - Lead Nuts
Critical Parameters for Replacement:
*Nut outer diameter,   *mounting hole angle,   *center distance range,   *mounting hole size range.
(Skip if not replacing nuts)

STEP 4. Select the Mounting Seat

Impact: Determines end machining dimensions of screw.

Module: 
 * Standard Mounting Seat (BKBF)
 * Horizontal Mounting Seat (EKEF)
 * Vertical Mounting Seat (FKFF)

STEP 5. How to Calculate the Length

1. Total Screw Length.
2. Center Distance Between Mounting Seats.
3. Effective Thread Length.
4. Nut Free Stroke = Effective Thread Length - Nut Length

 * Thread Length = Total Screw Rod Length - Processing Lengths of Both Ends
 *  Absolute Stroke = Thread Length - Nut Length - Mounting Seat Shrinkage - Flange Fixing Screw Space

STEP 6. Select the Nut Seat

(Bring your own workpiece or don't need a nut seat to skip)
